Domestic Housekeeper, Carol Banks, of Victoria House Nursing Home, West Yorkshire, attended the Yorkshire & Humberside Great British Care Awards on 31st October 2014, with Wright Care, as a finalist for the Ancillary Worker Award.
Nominated by Wright Care’s Operations Support Manager, Nicola Janney, Carol attended the event with Wright Care’s Operations team Julie, Jules and Nicola, members of the care and ancillary staff from Victoria House, and the region’s Infection Control Nurse.
Although Carole did not get to walk away with the winner’s trophy, Nicola explained, ‘Wright Care is just so happy we got to share in the celebration of Carole and the team’s hard work. As Consultants, it is great to be able to show staff at the homes we support, just how valued they are and how appreciated their hard work is’.
